Migration in Canada and Germany
Over the last two decades, my research program has involved empirical projects in Canada and Germany. This program included cross-country comparisons on national migration policies and discourses as well as case studies in both countries on labour migration and urban approaches towards the inclusion of vulnerable and non-status migrants and refugees.
This reseach program was recognized in 2015 by the honouring "researchers from Canada whose fundamental discoveries, new theories, or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline and beyond, whose personality and research contribute to the academic and cultural exchange between the Federal Republic of Germany and Canada."
