- provide a structured framework for evaluating EHS programs, projects and procedures.
- measure and maintain regulatory compliance.
Our continuous improvement approach: The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle
The Internal EHSMS Review Program is guided by the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, a recognized continuous improvement framework used in health and safety management systems.
- Plan: Opening meeting and development of internal review plan and schedule
- Do: Document review, onsite inspection, verification and interviews
- Check: Data collection and evaluation, internal review and evaluation, closing meeting, report preparation
- Act: Develop Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) plan, follow-up and verification
How the program works
EHS works in collaboration with departments to identify areas for participation, planning and completion of the review. Any department undertaking a review does so voluntarily and in the spirit of continuous improvement. Department leaders and front-line employees have an opportunity to participate when a review is done in their area(s).
