Welcome to the Professional Communication Orientation!

We're excited to welcome you to the School of Professional Communication. Below you'll find information about our virtual Pre-Orientation sessions and your mandatory in-person Mandatory Academic Orientation. These events are designed to help you prepare for your first year, connect with fellow students, and learn about the resources and opportunities available to you at 91µÎµÎ.
 

Pre-Orientation #1: Course Enrolment Info Session

  • Date: Thursday, July 30, 2026
  • Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET
  • Location: Online via Zoom

Your academic advisors are excited to host the first Pre-Orientation session of 2026 with a focus on first-year course enrollment.

During this virtual session, we'll walk you through the steps for enrolling in your first-year courses, share helpful resources and important links, and answer your questions during a live Q&A. This session will prepare you for the First-Year Priority Enrolment Period beginning on August 5, 2026.

  

Pre-Orientation #2: How to Complete Course Intentions

  • Date: Thursday, August 13, 2026
  • Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET
  • Location: Online via Zoom

Your academic advisors are back to host the second event in our academic orientation series.

Course intentions are mandatory! Join this session where we’ll explain the Course Intentions process, including, when to complete them, and how to pre-select your Winter 2027 courses. We'll also answer your questions live to ensure you're ready for the upcoming Course Intentions period.

  • Location: POD 250 (Podium building – 350 Victoria Street, Toronto)

Join us for an exciting day designed to welcome you to the Professional Communication program! You’ll meet your classmates, instructors, and student leaders, learn about academic resources and opportunities, and get a feel for life at 91µÎµÎ. 

The day includes informative sessions, a student panel, and a social hosted by the Course Union, the student-led organization that represents your program and hosts events throughout the year.
