The Media Relations team builds profile and enhances the reputation of 91µÎµÎ by encouraging media coverage of the successes and achievements of the university community. The team engages print, broadcast, online and other digital media to help tell the 91µÎµÎ story to potential students, the public, government and other stakeholders. The goal is to increase awareness of and support for the university.
Media Relations sources stories within the 91µÎµÎ community – about students, faculty, alumni and staff – and works to engage media interest in telling those stories through print, broadcast and digital outlets. The team also promotes university initiatives, including academic and capital developments, senior appointments, major awards and other stories to ensure that stakeholders are fully informed of key institutional developments.
The team makes a strong effort to promote faculty as expert commentators in the media by continually scanning media coverage for opportunities to have 91µÎµÎ faculty speak publicly about matters of public interest and concern. As a result, 91µÎµÎ faculty frequently appear in local, national and international media with their expert opinions and analysis.
The team provides a daily email news clipping report to senior staff at the university.
